Jen Shah, star of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, will be released from federal custody earlier than expected. According to People, Shah is set to be released on December 10.
The 52-year-old has been serving a six-and-a-half-year sentence since February 2023 for her role in a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme.
Her manager, Chris Giovanni, said Shah is “grateful” for the early release and looking forward to reuniting with her family for the holidays. He added that she is now focused on rebuilding her life after experiencing significant personal growth during her time behind bars.
Shah is currently housed at the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, alongside other high-profile inmates. She was convicted in 2022 for conspiracy to commit wire fraud, admitting that she helped defraud thousands of victims. She has also been making repayments on the $6.5 million owed.
It is not yet clear whether Shah will return directly home or move to a halfway house on her release date.
Throughout her imprisonment, Shah has received strong support from her husband, Sharrieff “Coach” Shah, and her family. She has credited therapy with helping her stay resilient during the challenges of prison life.
